- "Give Mr. Salieri my regards. I'm always happy to do business with people like him."
- — William Gates
William Gates is a minor character in Mafia.
History[]
In 1933, after stealing a whiskey shipment from Morello, he posed as a whiskey dealer from Kentucky and offered to sell the shipment to Salieri by arranging a deal with Paulie at the Grade Level Parking Lot in the mission Great Deal! Shortly after Tommy, Paulie, and Sam arrived, a group of Morello's men arrived and attacked the group. Bill was instantly killed with a shotgun bullet, but Tommy and the others managed to kill all the attackers and get the shipment back to Salieri's Warehouse. Salieri later revealed Bill's real identity to Tommy and the others.

Trivia[]
- Oddly enough, the Salieri men were unable to spot that something didn't ring quite true despite Bill's obvious and very noteworthy lack of a Southern accent.
- His name is a reference to Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft.
