Vinnie is a minor character in Mafia II.
History[]
Vinnie is a dockworker who works for Derek Pappalardo with an Old Dockworker who, along with other workers, takes part in a strike after a coworker was fired for not showing up to work after being injured on the job when a crate fell and broke both of his hands.
Derek enlists Vito to help bust up the strike, but along the way, Vinnie reveals that it was Steve Coyne who killed Vito's father, Antonio Scaletta, on Derek's orders. Vinnie is enraged when Derek insults the injured man named Big John he fired and then fires the rest of the dock workers and attempts to punch him, resulting in Steve hitting him in the stomach with the wooden stock of his Thompson 1928. Steve admits to killing Vito's father which enrages Derek who tells him to shut up, but by then it's already too late and Vito has switched sides in the conflict.
Vito ultimately avenges his father by killing Derek, Steve, and the entire Pappalardo's crew of the Vinci family, with the help of Vinnie and the other armed renegade dock workers.

- Vinnie may sometimes be killed in gameplay during the shootout with Pappalardo gangsters, but this is not canon, as after Derek has been killed, Vinnie will always appear to speak to Vito about what happened.
- In the Definitive Edition, Vinnie is either invincible health wise, or is programmed to respawn when killed by Derek's men.
