This weapon is available as a favor from Thomas Burke during the fifth district takeover. If not received then, it will become available for sale through the Arms Dealer after the sitdown for that district.
- The weapon can be found at the C.I.A. Safe House and the Unknown Island during Stones Unturned.
- This weapon can also be found at the New Bordeaux Opera House and Sacriste Sanatorium in Sign of the Times.
Real World[]
The Stromer .223 is based on the Colt M16A1. The M16A1 was the standard issue assault rifle for every branch of the United States military during the vast majority of US involvement in the Vietnam War. It was also used by Australian and South Korean forces during that war.

Trivia[]
- The Stromer .223 can be obtained early at multiple locations in the Stones Unturned DLC, giving players access much sooner than in main gameplay. It can also be obtained early in Sign of the Times.
- Giorgi Marcano is the only enemy NPC to use this weapon in combat.
- John Donovan uses the Stromer .223 as his default weapon in combat in Stones Unturned.
- Given the military history of the weapon's real life counterpart, it is probable that John Donovan and Lincoln Clay used this weapon during their time in Vietnam and Laos during the war.
