Police Officers are characters in Mafia.
History[]
Police officers are members of the Lost Heaven Police Department. They patrol on foot and in police cars, either the Schubert Six Police or Schubert Extra Six Police.
They will take action any time the player breaks the law. And depending on severity of the crime, they may issue tickets, arrest the player, or take deadly action. The Officers commonly use the S&W Model 10 M&P but they equip Thompsons and shotguns if the situation calls for it.

While police officers on patrol are encountered throughout the game, they make scripted appearances in missions such as The Whore, The Priest and others.
