Mafia Wiki

Pointe Verdun is a location in Mafia III.

History[]

Pointe Verdun is a neighborhood in New Bordeaux. It contains most of the city's Irish population and is home to many Irish immigrants. The area is mostly a working class neighborhood with small shops, Irish pubs, housing, and minor industry.

The neighborhood is controlled by the Irish Mob and the Marcano Crime Family. They use the neighborhood to run moonshine and protection rackets. Pointe Verdun is bordered by Frisco Fields to the west, Tickfaw Harbor to the east, and there's a small bridge connecting it to the French Ward.

By Fall of 1968, Lincoln Clay and his crew would absorb the existing Marcano businesses and seize the Pointe Verdun territory as their own after Thomas Burke murdered Roman Barbieri. Lincoln eventually murdered his boss Sal Marcano to take complete control of both New Bordeaux and it’s organised crime.

Influence[]

Pointe Verdun appears to be based on Irish Channel, a predominantly Irish neighborhood in New Orleans.
