"There's no need for violence. Please, put it down. We don't want no trouble."
Old Dockworker

The Old Dockworker is a minor character in Mafia II.

History[]

He is an old man who speaks with a heavy Irish brogue and works for Derek Pappalardo at the docks with Vinnie, who along with other workers.

He takes part in a strike in support of a fellow employee known as "Old John", who was hospitalized for a crate falling on his hands but fired by Derek for missing work. The old dockworker appears to be the leader of the strikers, and negotiates with Derek that they only have one demand: rehire John; then the strike will be called off. Derek callously dismisses their grievance, saying "I do the hiring and firing around here", and says it is "too damn bad" that John hurt himself on the job.

Derek enlists Vito to help bust up the strike, but along the way it's revealed that it was Steve Coyne and Derek who killed Vito's father, Antonio Scaletta. When Derek and Steve finally admit to this, Vito gets his revenge by killing them. After the deaths of Steve and Derek, he can be seen mentioning how horrified he was at all the bloodshed.
