Moderate Velocity is a mission in the Free Ride game mode of Mafia: Definitive Edition.
Overview[]
This mission becomes available after completing Just for Relaxation. Begin this mission by reading the note on the back end of the table in the conference room in Salieri's Bar, then drive to the phone booth just north of the Smith Service Station in Chinatown.

Narrative[]
My nemesis has rigged a bus to explode if it drops below a certain speed and he's challenged me to prevent it. Keep the bus going faster than 30 miles per hour while I have the bomb defused.
This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
Walkthrough[]
Board the bus.
- Chase after the Parry Bus and pull along the side of it, then select the prompt to board.
Drive faster than 30 mph.
- You need to keep the bus above 30, so it's best to use wide roads and avoid tight turns as much as possible. Dropping below 30 will begin another timer until you get back up to speed.
Notes[]
- You may find it beneficial to do this mission at night when there's less traffic. Use the far right picture in the meeting room to change the time.
- You'll want to be driving a fast vehicle to catch the bus as quickly as possible.
- Repeatedly pressing the ram button will give the bus short bursts of speed, which can be highly beneficial in this mission.
- The mission is based on time, not speed or distance. Keeping your speed around 40 mph is optimal. Going faster than that will only make the mission harder, as more turns will need to be taken.
- The map below has been tested to work on classic difficulty when following the tips above.

- Easy = 20 seconds
- Medium = 15 seconds
