The K98 Rifle is a weapon in Mafia II.
Description[]
It is a carbine sized bolt action rifle, adopted as the standard infantry rifle in 1935 by the German Wehrmacht.
Specifications[]
The weapon has a capacity of 5 rounds and the player can carry an additional 30 rounds for a total of 35. It's a very powerful single shot bolt action rifle that's highly accurate at long range, but has high recoil after each shot. It occupies a slot in the lower section of the weapons HUD along with other single shot or semi-automatic long guns.

Mafia II[]
- The K98 Rifle is first seen in The Old Country where it can be obtained in the San Celeste Town Hall.
- They become available for sale at Harry's Gun Shop in A Friend of Ours.
DLCs[]
- In The Betrayal of Jimmy, Jimmy's Vendetta, and Joe's Adventures, they're available for purchase at Harry's Gun Shop from the beginning.
- In Joe's Adventures, Joe is given this weapon to use in the mission Hit Contract.
Real World[]
The K98 Rifle is based on the Karabiner 98k.
