The Italian Garden Restaurant is a location in Mafia.
History[]
It is a restaurant located in Central Island. It also served as one of Sergio Morello's favorite dining spots. The restaurant was founded in 1919. At some point prior to the events of Mafia, the restaurant became one of the Morello crime family's known fronts.
In 1935, when Don Salieri plotted a chain of assassination attempts on the Morello family's key figures, Salieri sent Tommy Angelo and Paulie to do the hit on Sergio. The plan was for Tommy to use a nearby phone booth and lure Sergio to use the phone while Paulie shoots Sergio from the window, but it failed when a Morello associate picked up the phone instead of Sergio, who was not even present at the restaurant. As a result, Paulie mistakenly shot the associate, causing Morello's men around the area to attack Tommy and Paulie, who then had to escape and go back to Salieri's Bar.
