Intermezzo Two is a narrative cutscene in Mafia: Definitive Edition.
Overview[]
The Intermezzos are a series of narrative cutscenes featuring Tommy Angelo as he tells his story to Detective Norman. They take place in 1938.
Narrative[]
After the church shootout, the Salieri family laid low for a few months while the bar saw regular police presence. While the Salieri family are under police surveillance, the opposing Morello family enjoyed their success in 1933, as they're starting to moving in on Salieri family's businesses.
One day, Frank is concerned about how Tommy spends his money, telling him to spend it in a wiser way or invest the money instead. During the drive, Frank also told Tommy about how he first met Don Salieri and their first ventures: betting on dog races, where Frank's dog initially held the advantage, until the day the dog went into heat. Frank likens Tommy's situation to that of Frank's dog from back in the day. He also revealed that he has high hopes towards Tommy, as Frank views Paulie as strong, but otherwise not particularly intelligent, and Sam's lack of vision despite being a fiercely loyal member of the family.
