Holbrook is a neighborhood in Mafia: Definitive Edition.

History[]

This neighborhood represents the slums of Lost Heaven, with many run down buildings. It largely consists of mid-rise brownstone building while several industrial buildings are present. The northernmost part of the district is industrial with many factories and warehouses. The northern and the rest of the district are seperated by a large railway viadcut which runs in an east-west direction through half of the district before it turns north.

Many storefronts and windows in Holbrook are boarded up, with two homes in the southern end of the district are abandoned. Trash and garbage litter the sidewalks in an substansially larger amount than the rest of the city and Holbrook Park on the border of the district has been turned into a shanty town for homeless people as a result of the district's economic demographic and the Great Depression.

However, some parts of the district are less run-down that others. The easternmost part serves as a small square with shops and relatively clean roads, while the south-western part is home to a construction site of several buildings Large elevated pipes run through multiple places in the district from the ground to various buildings. It is unclear what these carry.

The district is served by both trams and the elevated railroad as the eastern-most district both of them travel in. There are three elevated stations in the district, located by the railway viaduct, the district center and one by Holbrook Park. It borders North Park to the west and to Downtown to the south-west. It also has an entrance to Oakwood by a dirth path to the south of the district. Holbrook also has one of only three roads to Beech Hill, connecting both districts with a tunnel.
