Gianni Bruno is a supporting character in Mafia III.

History[]

Background[]

A skilled but unorthodox physician, Dr. Gianni "Doc Needles" Bruno was drafted into army service during the Vietnam War and garnered a reputation as a talented, quick-thinking, and innovative surgeon. His superiors would eventually give him the task of developing new "treatments" to speed up the natural healing of soldiers' wounds and enhance their stamina and clear-headedness on the battlefield. Yet none of Bruno's accomplishments meant anything when he finally returned home and struggled with a tedious low-tier hospital position that he considered a paltry reward for all the years he'd sacrificed for his country.

Moving south to New Bordeaux, where he hoped to find better prospects, Bruno soon set up his own practice in the working neighborhood of River Row. Among his first patients were associates of the local caporegime Vito Scaletta, who would eventually offer the doctor a generous stipend to provide clandestine services for his gang. In time, "Doc Needles" would become the favored sawbones of not just Scaletta's crew, but countless other members of the powerful Marcano family.

Current Operations[]

Bruno will provide Lincoln Clay with the Mob Doctor perk if he gives Vito control over a certain percentage of districts and rackets. When the perk is activated, Bruno will offer a variety of health and physical boosts to temporarily improve Lincoln's overall fighting capabilities, including expanding the size of his health bar. With upgrades, Bruno's treatments will also allow Lincoln to use more Adrenaline Shots, run and swim without tiring out for longer periods of time, and auto-heal at a faster rate.

Upgrades[]

  • Add additional health bars.
  • Carry additional Adrenaline Shots.
  • Run and swim longer and recover health faster.
