"Remember, never take the job home, it just brings trouble."
Frank Colletti

Frank Colletti is a main character in Mafia.

History[]

Background[]

Frank is the Consigliere of the Salieri Crime Family and Don Salieri's best friend. His main concern is family finance and the legal side of business. He is well suited to this. At first sight he does not seem to belong among these criminals, as he is a very quiet inconspicuous nice guy. He does his work mainly because of an attachment to Don Salieri, as well as their mutual past. They grew up together in a poor quarter and much of what he has gained was thanks to the Don. Had Frank been born into slightly more advantageous settings, it seems likely he would have grown up to be a successful lawyer or accountant.

Frank's family is kidnapped by the police and Don Morello's thugs and told the only way to free them is to cooperate and hand over incriminating evidence on the Salieri family's affairs. He cooperates and Salieri orders Tommy Angelo to kill him.

Death[]

After confronting Frank at the airport, Tommy learns about Frank's position and rescues Frank's family. Tommy then allows them to escape to Europe. Frank's disappearance was taken as proof of his death, and a big funeral was held where Tommy noted that "Morello mourned with Salieri". Although Tommy's decision to spare Frank was well-meaning, it came back to haunt him. Sam reveals that he killed Michelle, who resurfaced in Lost Heaven after Tommy spared her under similar circumstances to Frank's. Tommy's failure to kill Michelle made the Don re-examine what happened with Frank, and it was determined Tommy failed in that hit as well. Sam claims he and Salieri's men did what Tommy failed to do and eliminated Frank.
