Eugene is a character mentioned in Mafia: Definitive Edition.
History[]
Eugene is the owner of a store in Chinatown. Although he has a Chinese name, the Salieri Crime Family calls him Eugene because it sounds similar. Eugene pays protection money to the crime family; he once put up a fight against Paulie Lombardo and Sam Trapani in 1927, though Paulie smashed his head against the store counter and the gangsters never had any issue with Eugene's payments afterwards. Eugene attempted to scrub out the blood from the counter, but was not able to fully clean it, and some remnants of the blood can still be seen years later.
Eugene is very old, to the point that some will express surprise that he is still alive, though Eugene's nephew runs the day-to-day of the shop in his place, as Eugene is described as being close to death. Although Eugene understands that he should not mess with Salieri's men, his nephew has not yet learned this lesson.
