- "I ain't Santa Claus."
- — Detective Norman
Detective Norman is a main character in Mafia.
History[]
Detective Norman is the typical example of a detective brought up through the school of hard knocks. He is a scruffy, tough guy with an Irish accent who acts like he hates everybody around him.
In 1938, Tommy Angelo arranged a meeting with him and told him his story about his association with the Salieri Crime Family. While he initially did not give Tommy much sympathy, Norman later agreed to help Tommy and his family by giving them new identities and moving them to the eastern side of the United States.

Trivia[]
- During the Intermezzo, Norman denied that the police were involved with the Morello Crime Family, which suggests that he might have joined the police force after Morello's downfall.
- Norman wears his tie too short, resulting in a very silly look to many people.
- In the CD setup installation of the game, a screenshot of Norman holding a shotgun is shown, despite him never using weapons in-game.
