Clifton Jean-Baptiste is a supporting character in Mafia III.
History[]
Background[]
An expert in zam (weapons), Clifton Jean-Baptiste is a talented engineer and inventor who chose to flee his homeland of Haiti rather than serve that nation's corrupt and murderous regime. It cost him everything he possessed to obtain passage to New Bordeaux and faced with a choice between being a poor black man in the Deep South or building guns on behalf of the Haitian Mob in their bloody turf wars for control of Delray Hollow, he took the only path offered to him. Known simply to his clients as "The Gunsmith", Jean-Baptiste has modified and assembled illicit firearms used in countless gang-related murders and assassinations. The Mob makes sure to keep him well-hidden in the shadows, and only those they trust have the privilege of accessing his services.
Current Operations[]
Jean-Baptiste will provide Lincoln Clay with the Gunsmith perk if he gives Cassandra control over a certain percentage of districts and rackets. When the perk is activated, Jean-Baptiste will contact Lincoln and request that he choose a weapon in his personal arsenal and the modification he wants added to it, with the modification remaining permanent until the weapon is removed from the arsenal. With upgrades, Jean-Baptiste can offer more powerful modifications that will improve a weapon's accuracy and magazine size, reduce its recoil, and make it easier to reload during firefights.
Upgrades[]
- Improve weapon accuracy.
- Increase ammo carry capacity.
- Improve weapon stability.
- Decrease weapon reload times.
