Background[]
The Central Intelligence Agency is a foreign intelligence service of the United States federal government, tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the world. The agency is also tasked with conducting covert and clandestine operations relevant to the national security interests of the United States.
New Bordeaux[]
The CIA has operations in New Bordeaux based out of a safehouse located in an old distillery in Bayou Fantom. The facility is staffed with about a dozen agents and is used for data sorting and signal traffic decoding for the southeast United States and the Caribbean. The primary offices are fitted with a mainframe computer system, and include an inspection station where they review every piece of mail leaving or entering the country in order to keep tabs on communist sympathizers.
