<p>I thought we might redo the top nav. We can have up to 4 menus up there, so we could go with one for each game. That would mean getting rid of the communities menu, but everything in there is now in the help portal, which we could add as the last item in each game's menu. </p><p>The only issue with having one for each game is that if they every come out with another Mafia game we will need to make a new plan, but I suppose that's at least a few years away and by then we could probably drop the original Mafia. </p><p>Is there any other ideas, or anything specifically you would like to have linked up there? </p>

<p>I think we should come up with a uniform format for these pages. Right now they're all over the place, and we have different formats for ones appearing in Mafia II and ones in the Mafia series. </p><p>For the opening line, I'm thinking we should go with "... is a food in (game or series)" or "... is a beverage in (game or series)". This is more specific than just saying it's a miscellaneous item like we have on the Humphrey Whiskey page. Having an Availability section is fine with me, but I think we should add it to all applicable pages instead of just listing that info in the same paragraph. </p><p>Also, instead of having a See Also section we may want to make a list of food and drinks in the Mafia series and link to that on the individual pages. Not sure if we should create a separate page for that or if it'll fit in a page we already have. </p>

<p>Need opinions on the order in which we list the 4 games. While Mafia DE may be a remake of Mafia, unlike the other Definitive Editions it's not just an upgrade. Essentially it's a brand new game. So when we list all 4 together, should we be putting it between Mafia and Mafia II, or last as we would a new game? And should that order also apply to things like our main page where we list all the games? We currently have it first in the main page slider and top navigation, but between Mafia and Mafia II elsewhere. </p><p>My thoughts are it should come last, and that order should apply across the entire wiki. So whether it's a disambiguation page or pages like Watercraft, Boss, or Mafia Series, whenever we have separate sections for all 4 games, it should be listed last. Even though many of those pages will just be duplicating the info from the original, they'll be linking to the new pages. </p><p>We could make an exception for pages like Antagonist and Protagonist seeing as they don't have headings for each game. Those could be done as I did with Protagonist, linking to the new game's info with an annotation below to the old page. Or we could break them down by games and make a new section at the end for it. </p>

<p>We need to come up with a standard opening sentence for these pages, right now we have several different variations on them. </p><p>Mafia </p>

• The Salieri Crime Family is one of two Mafia crime families operating in Lost Heaven. It was formed after the collapse of the Peppone family in 1921, when a falling out between capos Salieri and Morello caused them to split and form their own families.
• The Morello Crime Family was a Mafia crime family in Lost Heaven, headed by the two Morello brothers.

• The Clemente Crime Family is one of the three major Mafia families in Empire Bay.
• The Vinci Crime Family is the oldest of the three Mafia crime families in Empire Bay.
• The Falcone Crime Family is one of the three Mafia crime families in Mafia II.
• The Gravina Crime Family is a Mafia crime family featured in the Mafia II DLCs The Betrayal of Jimmy and Jimmy's Vendetta.

<p>Mafia III </p>

• The Marcano Crime Family is the leading Mafia crime family in New Bordeaux.
• The Clay Crime Family is a Criminal Organization in New Bordeaux founded by Lincoln Clay in 1968.

<p>I'm sure the Criminal Organization pages are much the same. </p><p>I know we currently distinguish between crime families by linking to The Mafia page, and others by linking to Criminal Organization in the opening sentence, but I don't see why we can't use the latter for them all. Crime families are criminal organizations after all. Plus, it's kind of awkward having crime family repeated twice in those sentences. We also need to decide to use the city name or game name there. Most pages use game name, and it does help determine what game the page your reading is about. I'm thinking something along the line of this for all crime families as well as gangs, mobs, etc.: </p>

• The Salieri Crime Family is a Criminal Organization in Mafia: Definitive Edition.

<p>We can then add all the crime families to the Criminal Organization page and it can cover everything. We can still keep The Mafia page too, as it does describe the basis for the game series. </p>

<p>I've finally gotten to all the rewrites we had, and there's just a few items in the other two categories left. I'd like to get them settled and move all of it to the archive in the next day or two, so if you have any input on anything left now is the time to add it. </p>

<p>I guess we need a new favicon image to go with the new Mafia DE look of the wiki. I'm not real sure what to use, it's so small it can't be much. I'm thinking maybe the word Mafia or just the M in the game font on a dark grey background. If anyone has any ideas let me know, I'll probably work on it later today. </p>

<p>If you can think of any forum posts that we should make into instructional pages post them here. I've already done the "How to capture images" guide, and I'm currently working on the "Vehicle File Swap" one. I also think the one on Perloaded Templates might make a worthwhile page too. Any others? </p><p>With the future migration of the forums over to discussions coming, I'd like to get these done before Mafia DE comes out and we're swamped with those new pages. </p>

<p>I think we should establish a policy on these. It seems every time we do a page rename project we end up changing links on the same user profiles. Most of them (if not all) haven't edited here in years. </p><p>I think if a user hasn't made any substantial edits here in a couple years we just blank their profile page out, or at least remove the sections with a lot of links. If it's just one or two links, we can just remove the brackets, leaving it in plain text. </p><p>We can do the same on these old welcome messages, just remove the brackets. And on the old user talk pages, I say we remove all brackets from the pages, leaving all links as plain text. </p>

<p>Fandom seems to be having an issue with line breaks at the moment. Whenever ones is used, all text after it is being displayed/highlighted in dark red. This is most evident on pages where we list multiple items, like games, in the infobox. Not sure if this is a temporary issue or not, but I may look for an alternate solution to using breaks in infoboxes. </p>

<p>More on these. They seem to respawn, though I'm not sure what triggered it, or if it's a bug or by design. I completed the main game and chose the take the throne option. I then finished the last parts of 45 in my hand and IRA don't ask. I did some other driving around, harvested a few crops with herbalism, then started back where I left off earlier in Stones Unturned with Devotchka. I never noticed them through all that, but I can't say for sure they weren't there. I finally noticed them when I drove through Delray Hollow after getting back from the Unknown Island. </p><p>So they either respawned after I completed the main story and I just never noticed, or they did it after Stones. </p>

<p>There's been debate in the past about Giorgi being the Underboss, but there's nothing in the game to support that. He may be the Underboss in the sense that if Sal dies, Giorgi will take over, but he doesn't run any of the day-to-day family operations, and he certainly doesn't tell Lou, Tommy, Olivia, or any of the Lieutenants or Racket Bosses what to do. If you read the Wikipedia:Underboss page, they give a much looser definition of the position that seems to fit Giorgi. </p><p>What the game does suggest is that Giorgi is a Capo, put in charge of Delray Hollow after Sal takes out the Black Mob. This image shows Giorgi on the same level as the other Copos as well. I think we should make a statement on his page stating that he's the underboss in as much as he will someday take over, but his current position is a Capo. </p>

<p>Need to clarify something on these two. Apparently they spawn in different clothing randomly. I just played Brother and Keeper and in my game the one on the second floor was wearing the light gray suit, and the one on the top floor was wearing the dark brown. In this You Tube video they're both wearing light gray. The game never specifies which one is which, so should we assume that Duke, the underboss, is the one on the second floor and Elroy, the boss, is killed last? </p>

<p>It has been brought to my attention that we should be using italic font when the game titles appear on the pages. After looking at a handful of other gaming wikis, it appears that this is common practice. </p><p>An attempt was made to correct this, but due what appears to be a breakdown of communication, the attempt suffered some issues. </p><p>It does seem to be the standard, so I have no issues with doing so, but I don't necessarily think it should include all references to the game titles. One example would be in headers. I think it breaks the uniformity and look of the page to have one header randomly be in italics. </p><p>It's also been suggested that placing quotation marks around mission names is also standard practice. However in a quick check of a few other wikis, I only found one, The Elder Scrolls, that practiced that style, so I'm not really sold on this one. </p><p>It's also been suggested that our practice of piping links when adding 's to names is not common practice, but to me that just seems like lazy editing. I think it looks better if the name appears as the link color (Joe Barbaro's vs Joe Barbaro's) rather than having the 's tacked on in white at the end. It's more work, but in the end I think it looks better. But that's just my opinion. </p><p>Anyway, feel free to add your own thoughts and opinions on these issues and we can decide on what changes we should implement. </p>

<p>Not much is known at this point, but we can begin discussing ideas on how to handle whatever comes out on the "new trilogy" here, as well as continue once we know more. </p><p>I'm not sure what exactly is in the works, but if the games are just updating graphics, I don't see much that would need to change other than maybe adding a new section to each games main page. If they're adding new content, then that may require new pages to be created. </p><p>The original game seems like it may contain the most changes, seeing at it's so old, and at the very least may require getting new images. Of course depending on how drastic the changes are, that may be needed for the others as well, or at least II. </p><p>I'm not sure how much help I'll be on this, at this point I'm not in a position to buy all three games again just for better graphics, even if they do add new content. I may get the first one, seeing as I've never really played it, I'll have to wait and see. </p>

I need help editing the wiki about Lincoln's criminal empire. I'm new to this wiki.

<p>I uploaded some new map images for Mafia III. Most were above the 10mb limit, so I had to scale them down some, they still seem decent size though, but the originals can be found here if anyone wants to download the full versions. </p><p>Steam is showing an update for Mafia III, haven't been able to find anything on it yet, so I have no idea what it includes. </p>
